The Rowan tree in winter

This
is our home, "Haugen", a house we inherited from Henrietteīs
grandparents. Itīs a lovely place in a rural area - but
still just 30 minutes from Stavanger, the "oil capital" on
the west coast of Norway. This property has been in the
family since my great-grandparents bought it in 1933 to
build a summer cottage. This house was built in the mid-70s.
Our household consists of 4 people: Ole M, Henriette,
and our sons Max and Victor - and of course our 3 dogs, the
greyhounds Sobers Elettra, Batique and her daughter Trendy
Appeal.
We have both had dogs since early childhood,
Ole growing up with german sheperds, poodels and getting his
own rottweilers when moving out.
Henriette got her
first sighthound, the whippet Incarvillīs Speedy Gonzales in
1978 and was introduced to the world of dog showing by his
breeder. Speedy got his Norwegian Champion title in ī81 and
was my best friend and companion through adolecence. I lost
him when he was 11 years old and still think of him every
day...
