September 30th, 2007:
Playing the cards we´ve been dealt is a tough
game... And letting our dogs go feels like one
of the the hardest parts of all. Since our last
update Lettie has been given a wonderful,
permanent home with my dear friends Anja and
Helge – without their unselfish friendship, help
and love neither me nor the boys would have
managed at all. Lettie is spending her days with
“Tiger” (Trendy Blue Tiger), and couldn´t have
had a happier life.
“Batique” - Debbie – moved to Trondheim a couple
of weeks ago. She has been given the best life
possible with Britt-Helen and her son Christian,
and I am forever grateful that there was such a
loving and competent home available for her.
Even so – seeing Debbie off on the plane was
devestating, and I have had to give myself more
time before making any arrangements for Bowie
and Lotta.
To all the wonderful and caring people who have
contacted me about them without getting a
response I have to apologize – getting back to
you is so difficult, and I am doing everything I
can to avoid these huge decisions for as long as
I possibly can. I hope you all bear with me.

21st 2007
The foundation of our lives as we knew
it was shattered when my husband Ole
Martin died suddenly and unexpectedly
July 28th. He was only 39 years old, and
never woke from his sleep in our hotell
room in Mariefred, Sweden. We were there,
as usual spending the last days of our
annual family holiday visiting the "Skokloster"
Sighthound Speciality.
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank everybody who helped us through
this devestating and shocking experience,
from the wonderful, kind and generous
people at the Red Cross Conference
Senter running the hotell, to the many,
many helpful, thoughtful and kind fellow
dog-people who did their outmost to help
and comfort us. Without you all I cannot
see how I, or our young sons Max and
Victor, could have gotten through this
experience at all.
As the kids and I are picking up the
pieces and trying to move forward, it
becomes very clear that for now we have
to give up yet another important part of
our lives - our wonderful dogs; Debbie,
Lettie, Lotta and Bowie.
I have had one or more dogs constantly
since early 1978 - and cannot really
imagine life without them - but it's
time to make some changes for the boys'
sake, and if you are interested in any
of the four-legged kids do not hesitate
to contact me by mail or phone. Debbie
and Lettie are perfect coach potatoes
and family pets, Lotta and Bowie I would
like to go to someone who can really
enjoy their show potential too...

NKK Int, Kristiansand, judge Libuse Ubrova,
Czech Republic
We are so proud of our amazing "Bowie", Trendy
Blue Tail! Still just 18
months old he was awarded his 8th Cac, 1st Cacib
(he hasn´t been old enough
to accept one before now!), 3rd BOB - and, like
last weekend, he finished a
thrilling day by placing 3rd in the
group.(Judged by Orietta Zilli, Italy.) |

May has
brought summer with her already, and both
dogs and people are bathing in beautiful,
warm sunlight after a terribly wet and windy
winter! In between frantic gardening and
leasurly hikes we found the time for a
dogshow, taking out "Lotta" and "Bowie" just
for the fun of it.
Sør-Rogaland Brukshundklubb, May 6th, judge
Branislav Rajic, Slovenia
"Bowie", just 18 months old now, took home
his 7th CAC and his second BOB, with sister
"Lotta" finishing as BOS. Need we say how
proud we were of this young fellow when he
placed no 3 in the group?
And when we thought the day couldn't get any
better, Kristina called from Sweden with the
wonderful news that "Lisa", Trendy Addiction,
at her first show since May last year, got
her second CAC and went BOS at Skara,
Nat. May 6th 2007. Judge: Lisboa Joao Vieira,
Portugal. Way to go, "Lisa" and Kristina!

It´s long overdue,
but we´ve given up finding the right English
term to describe Trendy Amusement´s achievements
in agility! She was the first Norwegian bred
greyhound ever to gain "bronsemerket" (a bronze
medal in token of her abilities in on the
agility-field), in September 2006! Proud "mum"
June in Budalen tells us they will keep
practising this spring, and plan to let
half-sister "Flourish" (Trendy Be True) have a
go too! |

March 18th 2007:
We are so happy for Swed Ch Trendy Amazement and
Gisela Balz at kennel Rhetsgis in Sweden! After
having her first litter in September last year,
"Nova" has matured beautifully, gaining her
qualifying CAC, BOS and Cacib at Malmô Int,
judged by Ms Kari Engh, Jet Greyhounds of Norway!
Her two previous CACs have been awarded by
Petter Fodstad, Norway, and Jayne Eather,
Australia.

FEBRUARY 11th
2007:
The season started off very nicely, with
"Lotta", Ch Trendy Appeal, taking her 12th BOB
and going BIG 4 at Ølen, Etne & Vindafjord HK,
and her half-brother "Bowie" Trendy Blue Tail,
still only a junior being awarded his 6th CAC
and finishing as BOS.

NOVEMBER 17th 2006
Bowie and “mum” flew to Oslo
and had a terrific time at the Nordic Winner
Show in Hamar. Still only 13 months old, Trendy
Blue Tail, “Bowie”, got his 5th CAC in five
shows and came home as Nord Junior Winner ’06.
But the best part of all was seeing how many new
friends he made, how sensible he was travelling,
and how calm and charming, playful and sweet he
is... (And yes, we are slightly biased... he has
won our hearts a long time ago!) |

NOVEMBER 5th
2006, FITJAR-STORD HK:
Trendy Blue Tail, “Bowie” took his 4th CAC in as
many shows today, going second best male, and
his half sister “Lotta”, Trendy Appeal, won the
breed. Judge: Mr Karl Erik Johansson, Sweden.

SEPTEMBER 2006:
"Bella", Trendy Break Trough,
apparantly recognized a "fellow Norwegian" when
meeting judge Bjørg Foss in the ring, and was so
happy about it that she gave the judge a kiss!
You can do that when your're 10 months old and
just adorable!

We had a good
weekend in Bergen, showing Trendy Blue Tail and
Ch Trendy Appeal for Mr Seamus Oates. They were
BOB and BOS respectively, and young "Bowie"
gained his 3rd CAC in as many weeks, and
finished in style with a Group 3!

Trendy Be True "Flourish", owned by June
Solemsmo has done well at several puppy shows
this summer! We are very proud of her, and
despite the unfortunate loss of a few inches of
tail this spring there is still enough left of
her to make an impression!

SHOW NEWS:
We had a great weekend at the Norwegian Japanese
Spitz Club´s 2 day event June 10th & 11th, in
Oltedal outside Stavanger!
Norw Swed Ch Trendy Appeal "Lotta" was BOB and
BOG 3 both days, and "Lettie", Sobers Elettra,
was making the most of it, taking home her 2nd
and 3rd CCs!
Lovely "Bowie", Trendy Blue Tail, was enjoing
the practice and trotted along to a BOB and BOG
2 on both Saturday and Sunday. They were judged
by Lilliane de Ridder-Onghena and Jeff Luscott.

New Champion!
We are thrilled to bits with "Lotta", Trendy
Appeal, winning her qualifying CC and her second
Cacib making her a Norwegian and Swedish
champion at the NKK Int show in Stavanger,

and we are looking forward to a handsome litter

Breedingplans:
We couldn`t let go of the idea of a litter out
of Sune and Debbie (N S ch Jet`s Once Upon A
Time x N ch Batique), and hope for a bunch of
outgoing, sound and lovely puppies in early
October! We`ll keep you updated on this litter
frequentely in the weeks to come!

July 31st:
We are so very proud of Lotta, in the cold and
pouring rain at the international show in
Ransæter she showed off beautifully, never
letting the conditions affect her at all! Her
performance paid off, and she went BOB with CC
(her 6th) and Cacib, for Nina Karlsdotter, and
kept on going in the group ring where Benny Blid
placed her 4th!

Show News - June
24th-26th:
We had a great weekend in Trondheim! Lotta,
Trendy Appeal, gained her 4th CC, won BOB and
went on to BIS 3 at the Sighthound Speciality on
Saturday, judged by Vlastislav Vojtek. On Sunday
she got her 5th CC at NKK Int, (2nd best bitch)
- still from the intermediate class, this time
judged by Agnes Ganami Kertes! |

Our young
Handlers:
4 year old Victor LOVES to show the dogs, and
was immensely proud to win the "junior"-handling
competition with Lettie at RMK´s open show may
22nd! Max turned 7 the next day, and had his
handler-debut with Debbie at the same show.
Debbie is the sweetest, kindest girl in the
world, but showed in every way she could that
she´d prefer to watch the whole ordeal ringside
with her friends, giving Max a tough job in the
ring!
